Toros Tarim part of Tekfen Agri-Industry Group is Turkish leading chemical fertilizer producer with 38% production capacity and 33.5% market share thanks to the active capacity of its Ceyhan, Mersin and Samsun facilities. Toros also holds 60% of the market in soluble specialty fertilizers.
A year ago they discovered CUI problems with an ammonialine. Together with our Turkish representative Inrep Ltd. we visited them in Adana, investigated the situation and presented Toros some practical solutions

Our 6'' liquid ammonia pipeline is designed to work at 33 Celsius under zero at times when ammonia loaded ships come to the jetty and begin to discharge.Having faced severe corrosion problems on the surface of our liquid ammona pipeline, we decided to investigate what might be the reason of all these failures on the pipeline. Corrosion Under Insulation is a dangerous problem.Our former insulation layer and vapor barrier lost its technical feature sand former support types welded to pipeline were not appropriate to cold systems. We decided to use long term insulation materials on this pipeline and knew that on such a cold system, quality of vapor barrier has the most important role on this condition.Having changed support type,we began to use Foster/Temati products and now adays when we are applying these products,allToros personnel is aware of quality.
