IPCOM successfully completes the acquisition of TEMATI Group, an international supplier of insulation protection and ancillary products.

After 38 years of work, Frank Scheerder, CEO Temati Group, has decided to end his career at Temati. Frank started as a sales associate at Temati in Beverwijk, the Netherlands. In 1989 he took on the challenge of setting up the first foreign Temati branch in Germany. After a successful period in which Temati’s position in Germany was built up, he returned to the Netherlands in the early 2000s. After the retirement of the former director in 2003, Frank was appointed managing director of Temati’s head office in the Netherlands, by the management board of then owner Hertel.

A new phase of growth for Temati began, triggered by a renewed and expanded license agreement with H.B. Fuller for the manufacture and sale of Foster products. An international organisation, with its own offices in various countries and a European distribution network, was set up and the Temati Group took its current form. In 2013, the company separated from the old parent company and through an MBO Frank Scheerder, together with Arjan Jongkind and Stefan Naenen, became the owner of the Temati Group. Now by the end of 2021 Frank wants to spend his time differently with more space for his family. Frank’s responsibilities are taken over by Arjan and Stefan. Frank remains as one of the shareholders and Arjan will take on the position of CEO for Temati Group.

We thank Frank for all the work and effort at Temati and wish him and his family all health and good luck for the future.

We live in a time when traveling abroad is kept to a minimum. Also online meetings and other technologies are mainly used for typical business applications. And as we all know, coming together for a drink together behind the webcam or organizing a remote team outing simply doesn’t cut it…

EURO 2020 is a great opportunity to change this. Also for Temati. We have a branch or distributor in most participating countries. Therefore we have set up a prediction game for our all colleagues and our European distributors via On Friday June 11th, the battle will start with the opening match between Turkey and Italy. From a Temati distributor perspective, Inrep is up against Fibrac. Both strong teams, so we are curious about the results.

Eternal fame is of course more than enough motivation to participate. Still, we wanted to reward some prizes to to the winners. On July 11th we’ll know who can crown themselves as Temati’s football expert EURO 2020!

H.B. Fuller has taken over the product supply of its Foster brand throughout Europe, replacing the license agreement with Temati that has been in place since 1963.

Temati and H.B. Also, new products for all markets were presented, such as CUI related products, Foster adhesives, sealants and coatings, protective foils and tapes and others.

Gastech 2018 in Barcelona, held September 17-20, again proved to be a successful meeting place for companies working in the LNG market and energy sector. Temati manned a booth together with HBFuller/ Foster to emphasize the strategic partnership between the two companies.

King Felipe VI of Spain opened the exhibition and visited the exhibition’s main avenue, where Temati’s stand also had a prominent place.

In addition to the representatives and country managers of the Temati Group itself, also the members of the TDC (Temati Distributors Club) were present. This group participated in the annual TDC meeting that was organised parallel to Gastech 2018. This twin organisation proved to be a great way for the TDC members, to make full use of the exhibition business and network opportunities, using Temati’s hospitality stand as their home base.

Technical support to ensure best solutions and best application of products is one of the pillars of the Temati approach in working with contractors, engineers, specifiers and asset owners.

Implementing theory behind concepts and designs into logical and practical solutions on site is essential to achieve the operational end result, that is desired. Taking a new step in our ‘thinking solutions’ motto, our colleagues John van Voorbergen and Harold Snoeren have become official certified CINI inspectors for the industry.

‘We congratulate both John and Harold with successfully completing the CINI course, making them official CINI inspectors. With another colleague Johan Sentjes already graduated as official certified Tipcheck engineer, last year, Temati is expanding its knowledge and experience, to build bridges between all parties involved in design, construction and maintenance in our industry,’ says Arjan Jongkind, general manager at Temati.

CINI is one of the leading international standards for insulation in industrial environments. Engineers and specifiers all around the world are basing their designs on the standards as described in the CINI manual. Temati now has fully authorized and certified inspectors in house to help its customers during every phase of a job or project. Would you like to know more about how we can help you, please contact our office and ask for John, Harold or Johan.
