What a great tournament Euro 2020 was. Maybe not for the Dutch national team (or the English), but certainly for the football fan!

Another great success: The football pool of Temati and its European distributors. Due to the unpredictable nature of the tournament, we have seen many shifts. Even on the last day, there was an overtaking action that Max Verstappen would’ve been jealous of. An Italian colleague (who else) had predicted correctly that Italy would become champions and jumped from third to first place.

This way the result of the football pool became a perfect reflection of the tournament in which Italy and England also divided the prizes. Congratulations again: Laura, Marco and Paul!

Contrary to the tournament, in our football pool participating really was more important than winning. The many reactions showed that all participants appreciated the informal contact moments. Of course, the competitive nature also helped. Euro 2024 seems like a good opportunity for a rematch, or will it be World Cup 2022 ?

In a time that is difficult to everybody, some people have to deal with even more setback and have to call upon the Foodbank. As you may know this is a non-profit charitable organisation, that distributes food and basic necessities of life to those who have financial difficulty in purchasing these items.

Obtaining facemasks to protect the personal health and that of others can be an irreconcilable expense and Foodbanks are in great need of it. Not being able to afford facemasks can also mean a limitation to participate in social life. Temati has its own mattress production facility, where it also manufactures reusable facemasks, in the Czech Republic. Foodbank IJmond received a big surprise when Temati employees delivered a donation of 6.000 facemasks in twelve full boxes.

Temati wishes everybody happy and especially healthy holidays and a ‘normal’ 2021!

All international Temati offices follow the official guidelines drawn up per country by the responsible authorities to limit the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 as much as possible.

This means that workers’ presence at our facilities is limited to what is logistically necessary for our business operations. All other work is done from home and in other ways to minimize staff movement and direct social contact.

Supplies of products to and from our warehouses are not delayed. As Temati team we are in constant contact with each other and also with suppliers to monitor health and safe working conditions and to guarantee deliveries and support to our customers.

We live in a time when traveling abroad is kept to a minimum. Also online meetings and other technologies are mainly used for typical business applications. And as we all know, coming together for a drink together behind the webcam or organizing a remote team outing simply doesn’t cut it…

EURO 2020 is a great opportunity to change this. Also for Temati. We have a branch or distributor in most participating countries. Therefore we have set up a prediction game for our all colleagues and our European distributors via poules.com. On Friday June 11th, the battle will start with the opening match between Turkey and Italy. From a Temati distributor perspective, Inrep is up against Fibrac. Both strong teams, so we are curious about the results.

Eternal fame is of course more than enough motivation to participate. Still, we wanted to reward some prizes to to the winners. On July 11th we’ll know who can crown themselves as Temati’s football expert EURO 2020!

The world is turned upside down and people and companies in all countries are experiencing various stages of lock downs and restrictions. Daily life and business activities take place in an adapted way. Some executive activities can be done within restrictions, but sometimes also prove simply impossible. At the same time, people in health care do make the impossible possible, for which they deserve all the support and admiration.

Almost all companies are experiencing at least a slowdown in their activities or are trying to switch to market-strange activities. Everyone adapts and handles this exceptional situation as best as possible. The companies are trying to get through this difficult time and protect their employees.

Temati’s workshop in the Czech Republic is also switching. The insulation mattresses that are produced cannot currently be placed on site by the end customers, due to the applicable restrictive measures. This threatened to dry up the order flow. So the knife cut both ways when the regional government asked our team in the Czech Republic to produce facemasks for the local healthcare services of the hospital, fire brigade and police, as we reported in an earlier message on our website. This in turn has meant that we have been asked from different countries whether Temati can also supply these masks to companies. These were all insulation and construction companies working on job sites, who want to offer their employees extra protection within the restrictive measures, in order to be able to continue to carry out as many activities as possible. They also want to be ready by the time that the jointly responsible bodies have drawn up safe working protocols that enable companies to resume or further scale up their activities.

Although production of face masks is not a core activity of Temati, we are happy to contribute to a safer workplace and everything is “different” at a time like this. The facemasks are made of 100% cotton and are reusable. They can be washed at 90 ° C and ironing is also possible. If you think this offers you an opportunity to allow your employees to carry out their work in a protected manner and perhaps even expand activities, please let us know. We would be happy to discuss the options with you.

At the request of the regional medical authorities, Temati in the Czech Republic has deployed its production capacity to produce facemasks to enable the local hospital to continue medical care for corona patients safely and at full speed.

Instead of making insulation mattresses, the Temati team made every effort to produce as many facemasks and as quickly as possible in its own workshop. This action enabled the heroes in the frontline, who provide medical care in the hospital 24 hours a day, to carry out the fight against COVID-19 at a maximum and in a safe manner.

Do you have your own need or do you know of an institution or company, that needs facemasks, let us know so that we can see if Temati can help you with this.

February 1st, the 11th edition of CycleSensation was organised in St. Jan Church in the center of Roosendaal, The Netherlands. An indoor cycling event, for which 200 cycles replaced the church banks, for a 12 hours marathon challenge to raise funds for palliative care for cancer patients and (local) cancer related charity such as Roparun and KIKA.

Temati Board, Frank Scheerder, Arjan Jongkind and Stefan Naenen, joined forces in a 3 hour spinning contest with the team of Salarishuys. Motivated by professional instructors and on the beats of uplifting music, every participant gave his utmost. CycleSensation raced together a record proceeds of € 95.600 for this very good cause.

The challenging and changing times of today’s markets, require fast and transparent ways of communication with easy access to information. At the same time companies need to be even more flexible than before and need to structure their internal organisation in such a way, that they can give full support and service to both direct and indirect customers, in technical specification, logistics and sales.

Temati’s technical support and sales network with company own branches and international distributors in all major European countries, forms the solid base to further improve our service, after Temati has got to stand on its own feet at the beginning of this year. The privatizing of the company has enabled our customers to take even more advantage of the flexibility and independency of Temati.

A logical step in that process is to also optimize the functionality of our website. Both look and feel of the website have been updated to today’s techniques and requirements and our new website is now also designed for use on smartphones and tablets, next to regular laptops and computers. For our customers all technical and safety information will be immediately at hand from our website.

For any further information, assistance or support we are at your disposal as always, just fill in the contact form or give us a call. We would very much appreciate if you could take a minute and look at our website and tell us what you think about it. If you have any suggestions or recommendations for us to further improve our service to you, please let us know.
