Our universal insulation mattresses are suitable for most applications, but we understand that some installations present unique challenges. Universal solutions are not always sufficient in (heavy) industrial environments with strict requirements. For those cases, we manufacture and install custom insulation jackets (service available in selected countries only). Whether it’s complex shapes, high temperatures, or specific installations, we produce insulation mattresses in our own factory that are fully tailored to your needs, with temperature resistance up to 1050°C.
Custom insulation mattresses for demanding industries
Our universal insulation mattresses are specially designed for utilities, but to meet the diverse requirements of (heavy) industrial applications, where universal solutions do not suffice, we also produce custom insulation mattresses.
- Oil and gas: Installations in the oil and gas industry require insulation materials that can withstand extreme temperatures and often have to cover irregular shapes. Temati provides custom insulation mattresses that fit perfectly around pipes and installations, regardless of the complexity of the shapes.
- Energy: Turbines and heat exchangers in power plants are uniquely dimensions and require insulation that combines temperature resistance with easy access for maintenance. Temati manufactures insulation mattresses that are both easy to install and remove for these critical components.
- Petrochemical industry: In petrochemical plants, strict requirements often apply regarding pressure, temperature, and explosion safety (ATEX zones). Our custom insulation mattresses not only offer optimal protection and temperature resistance, but they also minimize the risk of spark formation from static electricity, which is crucial in explosion-prone environments.
- Marine and offshore: Ships and offshore installations feature a wide range of complex setups with irregular shapes that require insulation for energy efficiency and safety. Temati offers tailor-made solutions that take into account the specific requirements of each vessel or platform.
How our customization process works
Our customization process starts with you. We work closely with our customers to identify the exact requirements. Our experienced team then uses their expertise to design and manufacture insulation mattresses that fit perfectly, regardless of the shape or size of your equipment. In consultation, the insulation mattresses are installed on-site. Depending on the type of project and the specific requirements, it is also possible to deliver the insulation mattresses for self-attachment.
Examples of successful custom solutions
Here are some concrete examples of projects or solutions we have implemented:
- For a supplier of smart energy storage systems, we provided custom solutions in the form of acoustic insulation mattresses. The goal was to significantly reduce the noise from vibrations caused by the scrum motor. After extensive testing and precise measurements by the customer, it was confirmed that our solution greatly reduced the vibrations. This success led to our insulation mattresses now being standardized in their specifications for all motors. The solution also had to be suitable for outdoor use. Based on the specific application, we selected a TEMTEXTM HT glass fabric for the inner side and a glass fabric with a PTFE coating for the outer side.
- For a producer of natural colorants, we custom-made insulation mattresses suitable for use in the food industry. Both the inside and outside of the mattresses were made from of glass fabric with a PTFE coating. This coating is water-resistant, making it easy to clean—a crucial feature in a hygienic working environment. For this client, we handled the entire process, from precise on-site measurements to production and final installation of the insulation mattresses.
