The challenging and changing times of today's markets, require fast and transparent ways of communication with easy access to information. At the same time companies need to be even more flexible than before and need to structure their internal organization in such a way, that they can give full support and service to both direct and indirect customers, in technical specification, logistics and sales.
Hertel Holding BV, the shareholders and management of Temati have reached an agreement on the sale of the shares of Temati to the management of the company.
During the last 10 years Temati B.V. has seen some interesting trends within the cryogenic insulation market. Whereas 10 - 15 years ago the technical aspects of insulation materials were important, today topics like HSE and level of craftmanship have a big influence on insulation design.
CUI is nothing new. It's been documented since 1957 when ASTM published: "Stress Corrosion Cracking of Insulated Austenitic Stainless Steel"
Also a lot is being written about the costs. ExxonMobile for example globally spends $ 30 million on CUI inspections which is 30% of their maintenance budget. And in the U.S.A. direct cost for corrosion in 2001 already were estimated at $ 276 billion. In the Netherlands costs are estimated around 4% GNP which equals € 17,5 billion and about 10% of the total maintenance budget.

Temati has recently supplied to Woodside Energy Ltd. Pluto LNG project in Karratha West-Australia.
The project started august 2011 after discovering galvanic corrosion issues with the primary vapour barrier foil. After reviewing different options Woodside decided for Tembutil-IF as being the best solution.
Further to reduce labour hours on site and meet the huge time pressure it was agreed with onsite contractor AusGroup AGC to use pre-applied Tembutil on Kingspan Tarec PIR. And to cut on the transport time every all supplies was done by Antonov air cargo. To speed up production time, Temati had to tailor cut Tembutil to fit PIR fittings. Logistically a challenge that in the end proofed to be the right formula for everyone.
